Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic WordPress Developer with at least 1 year of professional experience. As a WordPress Developer at Mabsol Infotech, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites. Your main tasks will include customizing themes, developing plugins, and integrating various technologies into WordPress sites. You will work closely with other developers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless functionality and a great user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- WordPress Theme Development & Customization: Develop and customize WordPress themes based on client specifications. Ensure themes are responsive, SEO-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- Plugin Development & Customization: Develop custom WordPress plugins or customize existing ones to meet the needs of clients. Ensure that plugins are optimized and compatible with the latest versions of WordPress.
- Backend Development: Write clean, efficient, and secure code for the back end of WordPress websites, using PHP and MySQL to develop and maintain databases.
- Website Maintenance & Updates: Regularly update and maintain websites, ensuring they are bug-free, fast, secure, and compliant with the latest web standards.
- Client Requirements & Custom Solutions: Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions. You will customize WordPress functionalities, create custom post types, and integrate external services or APIs.
- Collaborating with Designers: Work alongside web designers to ensure seamless front-end and back-end integration. Translate website designs into functional WordPress themes and pages.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize WordPress sites for speed and performance. You’ll focus on improving site load times, reducing server response times, and enhancing database queries for maximum efficiency.
- SEO Best Practices: Implement on-page SEO best practices during development to ensure that the websites are optimized for search engines.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and fix bugs or issues with WordPress sites to ensure smooth and uninterrupted client operations.
- Code Review & Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and ensure that code is clean, secure, and scalable. Follow the latest coding standards and best practices.
Required Skills:
- 1 Year of WordPress Development Experience: You should have at least 1 year of experience in WordPress development, with a solid understanding of the WordPress ecosystem.
- Strong Knowledge of WordPress Themes & Plugins: Expertise in building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins. Understanding of how themes and plugins work, and the ability to create custom themes or modify existing ones.
- Proficiency in PHP & MySQL: Strong experience in PHP (server-side language) and MySQL databases for developing and managing dynamic WordPress websites.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to ensure that websites are responsive, interactive, and engaging.
- Experience with REST APIs & Third-Party Integrations: Ability to integrate external services and APIs, and to work with WordPress REST API.
- Version Control: Experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
- SEO Knowledge: Understanding of basic SEO principles and how to implement SEO-friendly WordPress sites.
- Problem-Solving & Debugging: Strong troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Good Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Page Builders: Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg will be an added advantage.
- E-commerce Platforms: Experience working with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with Caching & Optimization Tools: Knowledge of caching solutions (e.g., W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache) and performance optimization tools (e.g., Google PageSpeed Insights, GTMetrix).
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of WordPress security practices to keep sites safe from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Front-End Frameworks: Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular is a bonus.
